Pathology
Our pathologist is an expert at unravelling elusive conditions. Having an on-site specialist pathologist means you can expect rapid and accurate testing. This luxury allows us to move quickly into the treatment phase for your pet, putting them on the path to health sooner.
Surgery
We offer both orthopaedic and complex soft tissue surgery in addition to routine procedures. Having a surgeon with Memberships means you can expect a higher and more varied skill set than most general practitioners. Our surgeon is experienced in a wide variety of procedures, including thoracotomy, BOAS (brachycephalic airway surgery), skin reconstruction, liver and gall bladder surgery, anal sac removal, orthopaedics, revision of past surgical procedures and more.
Radiography
Our state of the art X-ray system gives high quality digital images. Combine this with expertly qualified radiologist’s and you can expect us to get the most information out of every image taken. Being a digital system also means that we can readily email your pet’s images… including to you!
Dentistry & Oral Surgery
As our pets don’t brush their teeth, dental disease is a common problem. Just as with human dentists, we offer both routine dental cleaning as well as oral surgery for removal of irreparably diseased teeth. These procedures are often performed separately - not only making your pet’s general anaesthetic shorter, but giving the mouth a chance to heal which can lessen the number of extractions needed. Every tooth is thoroughly probed and radiographed to assess its health. Like you, we’d rather have your pet keep as many teeth for as long as possible.
Ultrasound
All forms of sonography are offered at The Campbell Vet. Whether it be abdominal, cardiac or even placing nerve blocks, we have the equipment and expertise required. Having these capabilities on site means less time spent on waiting lists, and in an emergency can make all the difference in patient outcomes.
Intensive Care and Ventilation
All our staff are highly skilled and qualified in critical care. We are proud to offer exceptional ability in this area. Along with advanced monitoring equipment, The Campbell Vet is one of only a handful of hospitals in the region that has a multimodal ventilator. If your pet comes off second best to a paralysis tick or snake, this can be life-saving!
Puppy Preschool
Start off on the right foot (and paw!) by getting your puppy into preschool. Sessions not only provide useful information about your growing new friend, but invaluable socialisation in a safe space with other puppies and humans. Pet insurance is a great way to help ease the financial blow of unexpected illness and injury. While it is undoubtedly a stressful time, not having to make decisions based on affordability can ease the pressure. Here at The Campbell Vet we are pleased to offer Gap Only, whereby you simply pay the excess rather than needing to foot the full bill and recoup costs from your fund at a later date.
